When I was in university, one of my boyfriends gave me two Siberian Dwarf hamsters for Christmas. Two hamsters quickly became three bajillion. Okay, maybe more like three cages worth.  
   
 When I graduated, I picked up a dog. She loved to watch the hamsters -- kind of like puppy tv. I weighted down the cage tops, because I worried that she might see them as potential puppy snacks. One day, the inevitable happened. One of the hamsters made a break for it.   
   
 I spent a few hours looking for the hamster before I crashed, but had no luck. Later that night, the dog came into my room and woke me up. I couldn't believe it -- she had the hamster in her mouth.   
   
 She spat the hamster out and looked very pleased with herself. The hamster didn't have a scratch on it! I couldn't believe it.  
   
 Any other amazingly kind pet stories?
